Professional: Charles A. "Chip" Reinhardt, Jr. has been a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law since 1993. He has been closing residential and commercial real estate transactions in the Triangle area since 1976, and also does a considerable amount of property tax and city lien foreclosure work for the City and County of Durham. He is assisted in this work by closing secretary Karen Davis, who has been with Mr. Reinhardt since 1982.
Personal: Chip was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved to Durham in 1976, where he has continuously lived to this day. He holds a double major B.A. degree from Erskine College (1974), and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Law (1976). Chip is married to the former Cathy Yantz, and they have four children and nine grandchildren. Chip is an Eagle Scout, and was actively involved with the Boy Scout program as an adult leader from 1982 until 2018. Chip is also the organizer and primary administrative leader of Girl Scout Troop 1806, a co-leader in Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Girl Scout Troop 1808, and an active member of the local North Carolina Coastal Pines Girl Scout Council Area 10 service unit team as an outdoor skills trainer and day camp co-director. Chip attends Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he is an elder and a member of the Chancel Choir.
