Professional: Charles A. "Chip" Reinhardt, Jr. has been a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law since 1993. He has been closing residential and commercial real estate transactions in the Triangle area since 1976, and also does a considerable amount of property tax and city lien foreclosure work for the City and County of Durham. He is assisted in this work by closing secretary Karen Davis, who has been with Mr. Reinhardt since 1982.
Personal: Chip was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved to Durham in 1976, where he has continuously lived to this day. He holds a double major B.A. degree from Erskine College (1974), and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Law (1976). Chip is married to the former Cathy Yantz, and they have four children and five grandchildren. Chip, an Eagle Scout himself, has been actively involved with the Boy Scout program as an adult leader since 1982. He currently serves the Boy Scouts of America as the District Religious Emblems Coordinator and a member of the District Adult Leader Training Team. Chip is also the organizer and primary administrative leader of Girl Scout Troop 1806 and a co-leader in Cadette/Senior Girl Scout Troop 1808. Chip is an elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church, a faithful member of the Chancel Choir there, and annually teaches religious award classes to Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. He is also a licensed amateur "ham" radio operator.
